Michelle comments, “We were delighted to be approached by this big company looking to make its mark in the region. Edward got in touch, and after a short meeting to discuss what we could do together, I was excited about the collaboration and the results we could achieve. We have been in need of some face masks for several months and Bepco kindly offered to oversee the design, supply and procurement of 100 of these; to ensure the safety and well-being of our volunteers while out on litter picks together in groups." As well as this, Bepco will be donating its plastic bottle and tin can waste to the group in order to help them generate additional revenue for their promotions and activities.
Edward lives in the Kidderminster area and identified a section of waterway and surrounding grassland that was in desperate need of a litter pick. On Saturday 05 December, a team was assembled and after around three hours of wading through streams, striding through brambles and sifting through hedgerows 11 bin bags of rubbish was collected along with a; computer monitor, push scooter, fire extinguisher, petrol powered strimmer, microwave, set of tyres, garden hose pipe, vacuum cleaner, and an office chair.
